Classic Liquors - Forest Berry Schnapps
Classic Liquors - Forest Berry Schnapps

Makes a Gallon of Forest Berry Schnapps in Just 3 Weeks Ferments up to 40 percent proof - No Distilling Required, Completely Legal Using the easy to follow instructions, create your own delicious home-made liquors unequalled for their rich flavour. Using costly essences, the flavourists at Classic Liquors have created liquors to rival the expensive brands. In addition to this kit you will need two 4 litre (1 gallon) Demijohns, a Syphon, Airlock and Sugar (2kg). *Forest Berry Liqueur* It has long been known that the leaves and berries of the blackcurrant bush made a delicious tea, and that it had medicinal virtues. A sweet non-alcoholic blackcurrant extract used to be added to bitter aperitifs in the bistros of Paris. It was not long before and alcoholic version was available. Our version is a blend of blackcurrant with other berries, leaving a memorable taste. Please note: Unlike a lot of liqueur kits on the market, this is not a little bottle of flavouring added to Vodka or raw alcohol. Classic liquors starts with water, sugar and this kit. You produce your very own 40 percent proof (20 percent) alcohol that you brew and clarify at home. With several flavours to try there's something for everyone! To make this Classic Liquor kit you will require some basic equipment. Our 6 bottle wine making kit:/collections/wine-making/products/home-brew-online-starter-equipment-pack-wine-6-bottle-kit is ideal.

Ale Yeast for Homebrewing
Ale Yeast for Homebrewing

Sufficient for 23 litres (5 gallons). This strain has been especially selected for its ability to produce rich, full flavoured English-style ales. Directions for use: Sprinkle sachet contents onto surface of wort, wait 15 minutes then stir. Suitable for restarting stuck ferments. If your beer kit isn't producing foam and CO2 and the temperature conditions are correct the yeast may have died. If no change in SG readings from a Hydrometer occur over several days, we recommend adding a sachet of Ale Yeast with some sugar to kick start the fermentation process.

Muntons Gold - Highland Heavy Ale
Muntons Gold - Highland Heavy Ale

Home Brew Concentrate - Makes 40 Pints Many years ago - centuries in fact - it was discovered that the way to brew the best ales and beers was to use only malt, hops, water and yeast in the brewing process. In the 15th Century in Germany this was taken a stage further with the introduction of the Reinheitsgebot - a law prohibiting the use of any ingredients in the brewing process other than these raw materials. This law stood until only a few years ago when the EEC over-ruled the Reinheitsgebot which they considered to be a barrier to free-trade within Europe! In spite of this the breweries have refused to change their recipes and still brew using only the four magic ingredients - their customers would not be satisfied with anything less, they tell us. Traditional English ales were brewed originally without hops but tastes change once hops from the Continent were introduced keeping the ale fresh for longer. Beer drinkers gradually developed a taste for the new hopped ales and in the 15th Century the modern tasting English ale was borne. More recently, economic pressure has forced many breweries to introduce cheaper adjuncts into the brewing process. Purists will argue however that the beer quality has suffered because of this and that it is far better to stick to the traditional practices. We at Muntons agree, which is why the Gold Range was developed, a range designed simply to make great beer. As a commercial malster supplying breweries all over the world, we are in an ideal position to appreciate the quality and styles of malt needed to make the best beers. We have put our knowledge to good use and formulated what we believe to be the best beer kits available anywhere today - with a possible exception of Muntons Premium Gold! Made using only malt, hops, water and yeast, balanced to brew superb beers, modelled on the finest tradition of brewers art. In keeping with our Gold standard, by using the easy to follow brewing instructions, you will brew beers of the very highest quality - a quality which complies with the 15th Century German purity law - the Reinheitsgebot. Cheers! About Muntons Gold - Highland Heavy Ale In the Highlands of Scotland, centuries ago, small breweries began producing rich, dark, hoppy ales know locally as Heavy. In addition Light beers were also brewed, known south of the border as Milds, but it was a pint of Heavy which typified the highlanders' preference. You can now recapture this distinctive rich bitter flavour, with its dark, malty brew, balanced by a generous helping of hops. To enjoy Highland Heavy Ale at its best it should be served at cellar temperature. New To Home Brewing? Equipment is required to brew this beer kit.
